The young Italian rider is looking forward to his second season in the Supersport World Championship.

Former STK600 title contender Christian Gamarino has had a difficult rookie year in the World Supersport Championship, as he struggled towards mid-season to adapt his riding style to the new machinery. In the final part of the year, the young Italian rider found his way around the problems to finally feel at ease on his WSS-spec ZX-6R, eventually finishing the last three races within the top-15. Gamarino is now looking forward to next year, hoping to improve his results and overall performance.

“We decided to start the year with a bike that had settings more similar to the machine I was riding in 2013” said Gamarino, “meaning I had a smoother transition to World Supersport. Then, after some races we decided to start working a little bit more with the electronics, engine braking and so on but we kind of lost the way. Towards the end of the season we managed to find a good set-up with and I was finally able to learn how to be fast on a World Supersport bike. It was a good experience and now I know how to use all the tools that can make the difference in the championship. I’m looking forward to next year as I will have a bit more knowledge on my side. My aim is to finish consistently within the top-10 and, if I can, try to enter the top-5, too.”
