A DJ master class was the main activity of today's Media Event at the Assen TT Circuit, which saw a selection of riders testing their skills with world class DJ Jeroen Post as mentor, in front of a packed Assen crowd.

Following a press conference regarding this weekend's round, Loris Baz (Kawasaki Racing Team), Marco Melandri (Aprilia Racing Team), Jonathan Rea (Pata Honda World Superbike), Eugene Laverty (Voltcom Crescent Suzuki), Chaz Davies (Ducati Superbike Team) Aaron Yates (Team Hero EBR), Claudio Corti (MV Agusta RC – Yakhnich Motorsport) and EVO riders Leon Camier (BMW Motorrad Italia Superbike Team) and Christian Iddon (Bimota Team Alstare) were joined on the SBK Paddock Show stage by local riders Michael van der Mark (Pata Honda World Supersport), Tony Covena (Kawasaki Ponyexpres Intermoto), both taking part in the Supersport World Championship, and STK600 entrant Wayne Tessels (Wayne Racing Team Suzuki).

Mixing their own version of a well known tune, each of the riders in turn took their chance to entertain a loud and appreciative crowd, with some learning more than the basics. It is unclear who found the best rhythm but what is unquestioned is the fact the party here in Assen has well and truly started.

The on track action starts tomorrow with free practice sessions for all classes.
