Cluzel: "I think we can still fight for the title"

The Frenchman is confident on his chances for the remaining rounds.

After being edged out for the win in the previous two races, Jules Cluzel (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) was back on the top step of the podium at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” last Sunday. The 25 year old from Montlucon, France, made sure nobody could close the gap to the front in the latter stages of the World Supersport race, eventually crossing the line a lonely winner ahead of current points leader Michael van der Mark (Pata Honda World Supersport).

“If I won in Germany or Australia I would have been happy the same” Cluzel commented, “but for sure it’s even better for MV Agusta. I’m really happy to have won in this kind of race, because it was not an easy one. I would like to thank the team for the outstanding effort they put in, as always. I hope we can keep the momentum going but we know it won’t be easy, as Michael van der Mark is very quick. If we will be up there each and every race, I think we can fight for the title until the very end.”
