Vladimir Ivanov out of intensive care

Vladimir Ivanov (DMC-Lorenzini Kawasaki), who suffered a hard crash during the World Supersport race at Imola on June 30th, is currently recovering after two difficult surgeries. His conditions are reported as stable at the moment.

Ivanov, who was diagnosed with a broken femur and a double fracture of the pelvis, is still under constant supervision by doctors at Imola hospital.

Vladimir Ivanov, his family and the team have undergone some hard times during last few days. His condition was unstable due to massive blood loss, but now it's improving and the rider has been moved from intensive care to the Orthopaedic department of Imola hospital. Fiancée Eugenia is next to Ivanov all the time and the team members, including Vanni Lorenzini, are also there. Friends from other teams paid a visit to him and there are hundreds of fans supporting the rider on social networks.

Ivanov's girlfriend Eugenia Maximova said: "Last days have been tough for Vova as he is off his painkillers, as you cannot continue using them for a long time. So from now he has to be really strong. Good news that he can feel his leg again, he hopes for full recovery and stays strong as we are! We would like to thank you all our guests, who came to hospital to see Vova, and people who are supporting us - Vladimir V.
